Penn Jersey Paper Company Acquires Gelmarc Distributors

Acquisition strengthens PJP's position as a distributor of foodservice supplies.

Penn Jersey Paper Company, Philadelphia, PA, has acquired Gelmarc Distributors, a broad line distributor of foodservice supplies, equipment, disposables and janitorial products located in Cherry Hill, NJ.

“The acquisition of Gelmarc is an opportunity for us to strengthen our position as the region’s leading distributor of foodservice supplies,” said Tom Furia Jr., president and COO of PJP. “Gelmarc’s reputation for providing superior customer service aligns well with our own culture and commitments.”

This is PJP’s third acquisition in the last seven years, further strengthening the company’s distribution channels in its core market area.

PJP will take over operations of the Gelmarc cash and carry storefront making it the third PJP Marketplace foodservice superstore.

PJP is a Philadelphia-based full-line distributor of foodservice supplies, equipment and disposables.
