Cook & Boardman Acquires Two Companies

These acquisitions represent the 8th and 9th acquisition by the commercial door, frames and hardware, electronic access control equipment and specialty products distributor.
On Aug. 8, LDR Growth Partners announced it had acquired two U.S. Midwest heat exchanger manufacturers: Cincinnati Radiator Inc. and Ohio Heat Transfer Ltd.

• Advantech, Dover, Delaware, will operate as a division of A3 Communications, a system integrator acquired by C&B Group in April 2018. Advantech serves the Mid-Atlantic region and specializes in large facility security, fire and life safety systems, access control, homeland security, video surveillance, and intrusion protection, according to the company.

• Building Specialties, Birmingham, Alabama, is a CDH distributor with four Alabama branch locations in key markets for the C&B Group. These acquisitions represent the 8th and 9th acquisition by Cook & Boardman, the nation’s largest distributor of commercial doors, frames and hardware, electronic access control equipment and specialty (Division 10) products, since the distributor’s acquisition by Littlejohn, LLC in October 2018.
