Industrial and MRO supplies distributor Global Industrial appointed Gary Michel as an independent member to the company’s Board of Directors.
Michel — who previously served as President, CEO and Chair of the Board of Directors of window and door manufacturer Jeld-Wen Holding — fills a vacancy on the board left by Thomas Suozzi. Suozzi resigned as a director of the company on Feb. 14 after being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Michel was appointed to serve on the board’s Audit Committee and Compensation Committee.
He previously served as President and CEO of the home and building technologies strategic business group at Honeywell International; and Senior Vice President and President of Ingersoll Rand’s residential heating, ventilation and air conditioning business.
Global Industrial — which charted three times on MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors Lists on the industrial, MRO industrial and JanSan lists — will report its 2023 4Q and full-year financial results on Feb. 29.
