Apax Partners Seeks Buyer for Epicor

The private equity firm has hired Jefferies Group LLC to find a buyer for the software company, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.

ERP software provider Epicor Software Corp., Austin, TX, is being put up for sale by private equity firm Apax Partners, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal. Apax has reportedly hired Jefferies Group LLC to seek buyers.

The deal is estimated to be worth between $2.5 billion and $3.5 billion, including debt, WSJ reports.

Apax Partners purchased Epicor and merged it with rival software provider Activant in 2011.
