AD Member Sales Grow 10% in First Nine Months of 2018

AD member U.S. sales up 10 percent for first nine months of year.

North American buying group AD, Wayne, PA, reported sales for all AD members, across 12 AD divisions and countries, grew by 10 percent in the first nine months of 2018 to $30.8 billion. Purchases from AD Suppliers also grew by 13 percent.

On a same store basis, by industry, PHCP sales were up 13 percent; Industrial / PT sales were up 11 percent; Electrical sales were up 9 percent; and Building Materials was up 5 percent. By country, same store sales in the U.S. grew 10 percent; Canada was up 8 percent and Mexico grew 14 percent.

AD Industrial Members, Suppliers and Service Providers gathered last month in Orlando, FL for their 2018 AD North American Meeting, celebrating record breaking attendance with over 800 attendees. Agenda topics included Strategic Partner Briefings, Networks, Emerging Leaders Networks and Booth Sessions. New to this year’s agenda, Members had the opportunity to attend an eCommerce session tailored to their subscription status.
