MRO distributor Stellar Industrial Supply, Tacoma, WA, has agreed to acquire cutting tools provider BC Tool & Carbide Inc. of Upland, CA. Terms were not disclosed.
The combination will allow Stellar to provide a broader and deeper array of supplies and services to its customers, said John S. Wiborg, president of Stellar. “The combination of Stellar and BCT will result in Stellar having a true West Coast presence in the MRO, safety supply, metalworking and abrasives business.”
After the combination is completed, Stellar will have 125 employees and eleven branches. In addition to the headquarters facility in Tacoma, Stellar will have the following branches; Portland, OR, Albany, OR, Eugene, OR, Newberg, OR, Everett, WA, Ferndale, WA, Seattle, WA, Spokane, WA and Pasco, WA and Upland, CA.
