Manufacturer representative agency Lawless Group announced major updates to its sales organization and leadership on July 22.
The Dallas-based group shared that it has undergone a strategic realignment of its national sales organization in a move that consolidates its previous regional structure into two primary divisions: Lawless Group East and Lawless Group West. Those units will be comprised of all current Lawless warehouse locations.
The group said the consolidation will streamline the sales organization by reducing complexities and enhancing organizational agility — “enabling Lawless Group to provide seamless, efficient service to any manufacturer or distributor nationwide.” This will involve leveraging the group’s strategically placed warehouses across the country to reduce freight costs, shorten delivery times and create new operational efficiencies.
Previous Lawless Group Geographical Sales Structure:
“This realignment positions the Lawless Group for sustained success, adaptability and industry leadership for decades to come.”
New Executives
Speaking of leadership, the group announced a slew of new executives:
- It’s headed by the promotion of Justin Vailes to CEO, while he will also continue in his role as President of Lawless Group East
- Eric Stone is now General Manager alongside his current role as President of Lawless Group West
- Dave Hall is now General Manager alongside his current role as VP of Lawless Group East
- Mark Schindler will continue in as President of Lawless Sales Group as a separate entity, offering strategic leadership for its sales representative business
- Mike Katz is now SVP of Business Development for the safety business vertical, which the group said reflects its continued investment in safety solutions and strategic growth in that market segment
- All Lawless Group sales, operations, logistics and marketing leadership now report directly to Vailes
“This strategic realignment reflects our commitment to innovation, operational excellence and long-term growth,” Vailes said in a news release. “By realigning our sales organization into two national divisions, we are better positioned to deliver unparalleled service, reduce complexity, leverage digital transformation and foster stronger partnerships with manufacturers and distributors across the country. The vision of Richard Lawless and the Lawless Group — inspired by our 50-year plan — is to build a legacy of trusted service, sustainability and industry leadership.”
As the new CEO, Vailes succeeds Jack Templin, who served in the role since May 2022 after spending 10 years at buying group AD, most recently leading AD’s Electrical & Industrial business unit.
This past spring, Lawless appointed a new chief marketing officer and a new chief sales officer.
Lawless Group was founded in 1978 by Richard and Darrell Lawless. Richard is the company’s Chairman.
