Capstone Green Energy Holdings — public successor to Capstone Green Energy Corporation and a manufacturer of microturbine power systems and heating and cooling cogeneration systems — has acquired one of its distributors, Cal Microturbine, and its exclusive territory.
Capstone will now handle sales, aftermarket support and service for Cal Microturbine customers in California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington through its Capstone West Territory business unit.
Based in Orange County, CA, Cal Microturbine supplies equipment, parts and services for Capstone systems throughout the Western United States. The company supports clients across a range of industries, including oil and gas, industrial, utilities, wastewater treatment, agriculture, biogas, telecom, hospitality, recreation and residential.

Capstone said it will manage the transition by coordinating all service, parts and technical support requests in the territory. The company added that sales operations will be overseen by a new sales leader, who will be announced in the coming weeks.
“By directly managing these key western states, we are better positioned to capitalize on the region’s accelerating demand for distributed energy solutions,” Capstone Green Energy President and CEO Vince Canino said in Aug. 14 news release. “This strategic move allows us to build deeper customer relationships, expand our market share, and drive long-term financial growth. We intend to ensure a seamless transition of sales and service operations that will safeguard the customer experience. Effective August 13, 2025, these operations became part of Capstone’s West Territory (CWT), operating under the Capstone Green Energy brand.”
