Revenue Optics Taps Distribution Veteran as Finance Advisor

Matt Zimmermann joins a growing bench of senior advisors as Revenue Optics accelerates its multi-engine growth strategy.

Distribution sales transformation consultancy Revenue Optics appointed finance executive and industry veteran Matt Zimmermann as its Executive Advisor of Finance and Operations.

Zimmermann brings more than 30 years of senior finance and operations leadership across global and private equity–backed distributors. Throughout his career, he has guided multi-billion-dollar enterprises through mergers and acquisitions, integration and large-scale transformation.

Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Envoy Solutions; Vice President  and CFO of specialty distributor North American Corporation; Senior Financial Leadership of Communications Supply Corporation (a WESCO subsidiary); and held senior finance leadership roles at ConAgra Brands, Alliant Foodservice and Fortune Brands.

While at Communications Supply Corporation, he partnered with Revenue Optics’ Founder and CEO Ali Hasham to build the financial case for proactive inside sales coverage, driving double-digit growth, according to the company.

In his role, Zimmermann will “impose CFO-level discipline on ROI models, proposals and platform economics,” guide the company’s operational scale and shape its platform expansion.

“Revenue Optics is not just a consultancy — it’s a modern growth platform,” Zimmermann said in a Oct. 6 news release. “By embedding financial rigor into sales transformation, we can rewrite how distributors and their investors think about growth. I’m excited to help Ali and the team drive this next era.”

Revenu Optics was launched in July by former Motion executive Ali Hasham.

“Matt’s arrival signals the next chapter,” Founder and CEO Hasham said. “He’s been a CFO at scale, he’s operated in PE-backed environments, and he’s partnered with me directly on proving the ROI of inside sales. With his expertise, Revenue Optics gains the operational and financial muscle to match our ambition.”
