The interim CEO & President of beverage alcohol supplier Republic National Distribution Company (RNDC), Robert “Bob” Hendrickson, has died.
The RNDC shared Oct. 21 that Hendrickson passed on Oct. 17.
Hendrickson joined RNDC in 1997, when the former Tarrant Company and Julius Schepps company were merged to create Republic Beverage Company, which later merged with the National Distributing Company in 2006 to form RNDC.
Hendrickson took over as Interim CEO in March of this year after Nick Mehal stepped down. Previously, he served as chief operating officer and executive vice-president for the distributor.
In a statement on LinkedIn, RNDC wrote: “It is with profound sadness that the RNDC family shares the passing of our interim CEO and president, Bob Hendrickson, on Friday, Oct. 17. For more than 30 years, Bob helped shape RNDC’s success, culture and partnerships. Bob’s leadership, mentorship and unwavering belief in people will continue to guide RNDC’s journey.”
Former RNDC West Region President Marc Sachs has been named the company’s interim CEO & President, while former West Region President Jay Johnson now serves as a special advisor to support the transition.
