Builders FirstSource Acquires Premium Building Components in NY

The addition nets BFS its first two truss and wall panel facilities in the state of New York.

Builders FirstSource further expanded its manufacturing capabilities with the acquisition of Premium Building Products in upstate New York.

BFS confirmed the transaction to MDM, though details weren’t disclosed.

PBC is a designer, manufacturer and seller of wall panel and truss products based in Queensbury, NY, with a second location in Ballston Spa, NY. It sells conventional and engineered lumber and sheathing products in bulk quantities.

The added facilities are now BFS’ first truss and wall panel operations in New York.

“The Premium Building Components team shares our values, including our commitment to excellence,” BFS President and CEO Peter Jackson said in an email to industry media. “Their capabilities will complement our operations and support the execution of our strategic priorities.”

PBC leadership will report to BFS Area Manager Ernie Peters.
