Sweden-based Atlas Copco has acquired the assets of two compressor distributors — one in Florida and one in Brazil.
Air Compressor Works is located in Riviera, FL and serves general industry customers in Southern Florida. Founded in 1979, the company had 2024 revenue of approximately $18 million and has 50 employees. It is now part of the service division within Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business area that does business under the Quincy Compressor brand.
Meanwhile, Centro do Ar Comprimido do Recie Ltda — which does business at Centroar — is a compressor distributor based in Recife, Pernambuco in Brazil whose customers operate in general industry, mining, paper, construction and infrastructure. The company has 28 employees.
Atlas Copco is a distributor and manufacturer of compressed air and vacuum solutions, energy solutions, dewatering and industrial pumps, industrial power tools and machine vision solutions.
Both companies are now part of the service division within Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique unit that does business under the Quincy Compressors brand.
Both deals were announced on Jan. 7, and financial terms were not disclosed.
Atlas Copco Group had 2024 revenues more than $19 billion has about 55,000 employees worldwide.
