FedEx has partnered with reusable packaging provider Returnity to launch a reusable shipping box solution designed for business-to-business shipments.
A March 12 announcement said the solution centers on Returnity’s “Last Box” — a durable, collapsible shipping container designed to replace single-use corrugated boxes in B2B shipping workflows. The packaging can be reused for multiple shipment cycles and is compatible with existing carrier labels, shipping processes and logistics operations.

FedEx said the reusable box is intended for shippers moving goods between locations such as distribution centers, retail stores or other commercial facilities. The container is designed to handle shipments weighing more than 50 pounds and can remain in circulation across dozens of uses before replacement.
The collapsible design allows the boxes to be flattened and returned after delivery, enabling them to be reused in subsequent shipments and reducing the need for new packaging materials.
Returnity develops reusable packaging systems aimed at reducing single-use cardboard waste in logistics networks. The company estimates that U.S. retailers use more than one billion cardboard boxes each year for internal product movements between facilities.
FedEx said the collaboration expands its portfolio of sustainable shipping solutions and is designed to help business shippers reduce packaging waste while maintaining compatibility with existing shipping operations.
