Singer Equipment has acquired Bresco — a fellow foodservice equipment distributor headquartered in Birmingham, AL.
Bresco, which has served the greater Alabama market for more than 50 years, will be integrated into Singer H&R (formerly Hotel & Restaurant Supply). Marcus Lyon serves as the President of Singer H&R.
Bresco had 2025 sales of $39.3 million.
It marks the eighth acquisition for Elverson, PA-based Singer since 2016, and gives it its 29th location. In the U.S. South, it becomes Singer’s 14th location across Virginia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.

“As part of Singer, we will be able to continue our growth and bring benefits and opportunities to our customers and employees alike,” Bresco President George Tobia said in an April 1 news release. “I have known the Singer family for many years, and our companies share common values of excellence, professionalism and service to our customers and care for our employees.”
Tobia will join Singer to support the integration of the companies, and to continue to lead and grow sales efforts in the Alabama market.
“I am thrilled to welcome George, his son Matthew and the entire Bresco team to Singer,” added Fred Singer, Singer’s President and CEO. George and his team are recognized leaders in their market with broad respect from vendors and customers, and a reputation for integrity and excellence. Together we will bring new opportunities to our customers and co-workers alike.”
Singer Equipment had 2025 annual sales of $940 million.
