Foodservice Equipment Distributor TriMark USA Promotes Financial Leader to CEO

It's effective July 1, as Terry O’Brien retires and transitions into an advisory and board role.

TriMark USA has promoted Chief Financial Officer James Noonan to CEO, effective July 1, succeeding Terry O’Brien, who is retiring from the chief executive role.

Mansfield, MA-based TriMark — an integrated provider of design services, equipment and supplies to the foodservice industry — said O’Brien informed the company’s board of directors of his decision to retire as CEO to focus on his health and larger life goals.

O’Brien will serve as an advisor to TriMark Chairman Jim Clough during the transition, then continue as a member of the company’s board of directors. TriMark said the move is intended to support continuity as the company continues its transformation and growth initiatives.

“On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Terry for his leadership, strategic guidance and contributions to TriMark,” Clough said. “During his tenure, Terry helped advance important priorities across our commercial teams, supply chain optimization, and technology enablement, strengthening the foundation for TriMark’s next phase of growth. We wish Terry all the best as he enjoys this next chapter.”

Noonan joined TriMark as CFO and has been involved in advancing the company’s strategic priorities. Before TriMark, he was CFO of Hollingsworth & Vose, a global filtration and energy storage solutions company. He also previously held senior leadership roles at Suffolk Construction, including Vice President, Operations and CFO.

“As TriMark enters its next chapter, James will work closely with Terry, the Board and the leadership team to maintain continuity, support employees and customers, and accelerate execution against the Company’s priorities,” Clough said.

Noonan said TriMark will continue to focus on its core business and its leadership position across foodservice equipment, supplies and services.

TriMark said it has engaged an independent executive search firm to identify a new CFO. In the interim, CFO responsibilities will be supported by the company’s existing finance team.

TriMark operates through 10 regional divisions and provides design services, commercial equipment, foodservice supplies, installation, tabletop and repair services to foodservice operators across industries.
