Houston-based Lonestar Electric Supply announced July 28 that it plans to open a 78,000-square-foot distribution center in El Paso, TX, this fall.

The facility, located at 1325 Pendale Road, is expected to employ about 20 people who will manage the distribution of electrical supplies from manufacturers including ABB Electrification, Southwire and Orbit Industries.

Lonestar said the location will position the company to support expanding commercial and industrial activity across the El Paso region and neighboring New Mexico.

“El Paso has seen tremendous growth in the past few years thanks to available land and business-friendly government,” Lonestar Market Leader Ric Flores said. “With our scale of services, we are a hand-in-glove fit for this emerging business environment here in El Paso and in neighboring New Mexico.”

The company supplies electrical products for data centers, commercial construction, schools, hospitals and industrial projects. Flores said Lonestar’s distribution model is designed to accommodate quick-turnaround customer requests.

Founded in 2015, Lonestar operates more than 30 distribution centers across the U.S. The company opened its first location outside Texas in New Orleans in late 2024, followed by distribution centers in Oklahoma and Tennessee during 2025.

The El Paso expansion follows two other notable growth moves announced by Lonestar this summer.

On July 8, the distributor acquired West Monroe, LA-based Industrial Cable Solutions — a supplier of electrical and data products for commercial, industrial and data communications applications. The deal expanded Lonestar’s Louisiana presence and strengthened its wire, cable and data communications capabilities.

In June, Lonestar’s Industrial Supply business launched Lonestar CORE — a division focused on complex power infrastructure projects and capital investments. CORE — short for CapEx, Optimization, Reliability and Execution — supports projects across industrial, energy, technology, manufacturing and infrastructure markets, including data centers, utility interconnections, power generation, renewable energy and oil and gas pipelines.

Lonestar ranked No. 12 on MDM’s 2026 Top Electrical/Data/Security Distributors List with $1.7 billion in 2025 revenue.
