ndustrial MRO supplies distributor Turner Supply has acquired Millworks & Supply, expanding its presence in Savannah, GA, and across the surrounding coastal market.
Savannah-based Millworks provides MRO products and solutions to industrial customers. The company will operate under the Turner Supply name and become the distributor’s 10th stocking location. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition extends Turner’s ability to serve customers across Coastal Georgia and South Carolina while giving Millworks customers access to a broader portfolio of industrial products, technical expertise and value-added services, company officials said in an Aug. 3 news release.
Founded in 1997 by Jack Smith and Dan Davenport, Millworks has built its business around face-to-face customer service and sourcing solutions for customers. Following Davenport’s retirement, Jim Coryell joined Smith as co-owner in 2024.
“Millworks & Supply has built a strong reputation through responsive, relationship-driven service, which closely aligns with how we serve our customers at Turner Supply,” Turner President and CEO Chip Schramm said. “We are excited to welcome Jim, Jack and their team and to build on what they have established by combining their local expertise with Turner Supply’s broader products, resources and capabilities.”
The deal marks Turner Supply’s sixth acquisition since 2019 and continues the Mobile, AL-based distributor’s strategy of expanding its geographic reach and service capabilities. Turner is a fourth-generation, family-owned distributor founded in 1905 that supplies MRO and production products to industrial and manufacturing customers.
Turner most recently acquired Woodstock, GA-based Progressive Supply in February, establishing its first branch in the Atlanta and North Georgia market and adding a distributor serving construction, manufacturing, welding, metal fabrication and utility customers.
In September 2025, Turner purchased certain assets of Nashville, TN-based Benchmark Industrial Supply, strengthening its abrasives and surface-finishing offering. Benchmark specialized in abrasives, buffs and compounds for manufacturers, with its legacy employees joining Turner following the transaction.
