Mauser Packaging Solutions has unified its U.S. and Canadian industrial packaging distribution operations under the Questar brand, launching Questar Canada with seven major distribution hubs across the country.
Effective Sept. 1, Mauser’s Canadian distribution businesses — ICS Jos. Le Bel LP and ICS Great Western LP — joined the company’s U.S.-based Questar distribution business as one North American organization. Questar said the consolidation is designed to expand product availability, improve supply stability and create a more integrated distribution network.
The Canadian operation combines strategically located distribution centers with Questar’s existing logistics and service capabilities, including local warehouse management and quick-turn delivery.
Questar Canada will distribute industrial and UN-certified performance packaging, including steel and plastic drums, plastic pails, cubic-yard corrugated boxes, poly woven bags, absorbents, spill-containment products and lab pack boxes. The company said the expanded network will also provide compliance support and tailored packaging solutions.
“This expansion is a pivotal chapter for Questar and our customers, reflecting our ongoing commitment to delivering greater value across North America,” Questar Senior Vice President and General Manager Rob Spencer said. “By adding Questar Canada to our network, we’re enhancing our service capabilities and ensuring customers throughout the region have improved access to the solutions and support they need to succeed.”
North Canton, OH-based Questar, which Mauser owns, was established in 1990 and now operates more than 18 warehouses across North America with more than 25 outside sales professionals.
The Canadian integration follows several recent investments in Questar’s U.S. distribution footprint. Earlier this year, the company relocated its headquarters and North Canton warehouse to a larger facility and announced a new Atlanta distribution center aimed at strengthening service in the Southeast. Questar also relocated its Fairfield, NJ, warehouse operation to a new distribution center in Easton, PA, in April.
