Network Distribution has promoted Eric Hernandez to Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.

The Schaumburg, IL-based distributor of industrial packaging, JanSan and foodservice disposable products announced the appointment Sept. 1. Hernandez joins Network’s executive leadership team and will oversee the company’s financial operations, strategy and long-term growth initiatives.

Hernandez has more than 23 years of financial leadership experience and joined Network in 2024 as Vice President of Finance. The company said that since then, he has helped strengthen its financial position and advance business objectives while building relationships with Network members, customers and suppliers.

“This is a well-deserved promotion for Eric and a reflection of the significant contributions he has made since joining Network,” President and CEO Alan Tomblin said. “Eric has become a trusted business partner, respected leader, and valued member of the Network team.”

Network said Hernandez’s financial expertise and relationship-building experience will support the company as it continues to grow.

The promotion comes about five months after Network completed its merger with Packaging Distributors of America (PDA), significantly expanding its scale in industrial packaging, JanSan and foodservice distribution.

Announced as completed March 27, the combination brought PDA’s network of 80 North American locations into Network, with the combined organization continuing under the Network Distribution name. At the time, the companies said the merged organization represented approximately $28 billion in global revenue. Network subsequently began transitioning PDA members, customers and suppliers onto its platform.

Network now reports worldwide revenue of $29.5 billion and more than 800 distribution centers across over 52 countries.
