Indianapolis-based combustion and control products distributor KromAmericas announced Oct. 1 that it acquired American Flame Monitoring (AFM), marking its first acquisition.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Based in Pearland, TX, AFM specializes in Honeywell Industrial Flame Monitoring products. The deal adds complementary products and technical expertise to KromAmericas’ existing Kromschröder offering.
AFM serves as the North American master distributor for Honeywell’s Industrial Flame Monitoring product lines, supplying authorized Honeywell distributors and original equipment manufacturers. Its offerings include flame monitoring equipment, igniters, cabling and fiber optics, supported by inventory and online ordering capabilities.
“This acquisition brings together two organizations with complementary product portfolios and expertise,” KromAmericas General Manager Chris Gordon said.
The businesses will consolidate operations at KromAmericas’ existing Indianapolis location. KromAmericas also plans to add AFM’s product portfolio to its website, with product information, technical resources and support materials rolling out over the coming months.
Founded in 2020, KromAmericas is the authorized Kromschröder master distributor for North America. The company established its Indianapolis distribution hub to improve regional access to combustion components and reduce delays associated with shipping products from Germany. Its end markets include heat processing, thermal manufacturing and energy. Its product offerings include pressure switches, solenoid valves and preassembled valve trains.
