Contractor and industrial supplies buying group AD reported Nov. 3 that its member sales in the first nine months of 2025 reached a record $78 billion across AD’s 13 divisions and three countries, up 28% year-over-year.
A significant percentage of AD’s overall YTD growth was the result of its 3Q24 merger with IMARK Electrical. but that wasn’t the only driver. Wayne, PA-based AD said existing members acquired 75 companies YTD, including 24 within AD and 51 from outside the group.
Purchases from AD suppliers by members rose 31%. Same-store sales of existing AD members increased by 6% in the U.S., 5% in Canada, and 1% in Mexico, in their respective currencies.
“2025 continues to be AD’s largest growth year ever, boding exceptionally well for our ability to deliver increased profitability to our owner-members, increased market-share to our supplier partners and cost-efficiently support our growing community of independents for years to come,” AD CEO Bill Weisberg said in a Nov. 3 news release.
