Building materials distributor SRS Distribution Inc., which is based in McKinney, Texas, announced recently that it has opened nine new greenfield locations. Of the nine, eight are within its Building Products Division and one in its Landscape Supply Division.

The Building Products locations are in Athens, Georgia; Pensacola, Florida; Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Kalamazoo, Michigan; Tifton, Georgia; Gulfport, Mississippi; Lakeville, Minnesota; and Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Heritage Landscape Supply Group, a division of SRS, opened a new location in The Villages, Florida carrying a full line of landscape products.

The company says the opening of the nine new branches across eight states reflects it focus on expanding its footprint across the U.S. SRS Distribution is striking a balance of “in-fill” locations across its existing footprint and new MSA locations as part of its expansion plan. Greenfield locations will play a key role in SRS’s plan to build-out its national network of independent distributor brands.

We expect to open additional new branches in 2021.”

SRS Distribution also expanded its reach earlier this year with several acquisitions, including Michigan-based Louis T. Ollesheimer & Son Inc. and J.B. Wholesale Roofing and Building Supplies Inc. in February.
