Electronic components distributor Avnet reported its 2025 third quarter financial results on April 30, showing an overall sales decline but a third consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth in Asia.
Avnet posted 3Q sales of $5.3 billion, down 6% YoY and down 6.1% over last quarter. America sales totaled $1.27 billion, down 9.2% YoY and down 6.9% sequentially; EMEA sales of $1.56 billion fell 9.2% YoY and 1.5% sequentially; and Asia sales of $2.48 billion increased 13% YoY and decreased 8.5% sequentially.
By business unit in 3Q, Electronic Components sales of $4.95 billion fell 5.7% YoY and 6.9% sequentially, while Farnell sales of $366.7 million likewise declined by 10% YoY and increased 6.1% sequentially.
Gross margin of 11.1% improved 30 basis point YoY. Operating profit of $143.3 million fell 24.7% YoY, while operating margin of 2.7% declined 66 bps YoY.
“We are pleased with our third quarter results, with revenue and earnings exceeding our expectations,” said Avnet Chief Executive Officer Phil Gallagher in an earnings report. “Our team continues to execute well in a highly dynamic geopolitical and market environment.”
