Swiss fastener distributor Bossard Group announced Nov. 29 it has acquired Canadian fastener distributor PENN Engineered Fasteners Corporation (PEF) from Pennsylvania-based fastening solutions manufacturer PennEngineering. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1970, PEF supplies fastening solutions to industrial segments such as automotive, energy, agriculture and appliances. PennEngineering acquired PEF in 2017.
Bossard and PennEngineering maintain a long-term collaboration across 22 countries in North America, Europe and Asia, according to a news release.
“Building on our previous investments in Canada, adding PEF’s capability, we will be able to expand our services in this key market,” Bossard America CEO David Jones said. “We are excited to welcome PEF employees to the Bossard family and look forward to further developing our business together in the Canadian market.”
Bossard America ranked No. 12 on MDM’s 2022 Top Fastener Distributors list.
