Mission-critical material handling equipment maker Oshkosh Corporation is set to acquire Spain-based AUSACROP S.L. — a privately-held like maker of wheeled dumpers, rough terrain forklifts and telehandlers for the construction, material handling, agriculture, landscape and specialty equipment industries.

Terms were not disclosed for the deal, which is expected to close within three months of the May 8 announcement. Upon completion, AUSA will become part of Oshkosh’s Access business segment.

Oshkosh said that AUSA’s products will enhance its JLG line of telehandlers, as well as Hinowa tracked dumpers and forklifts in the Access segment’s portfolio of equipment. The Oshkosh, WI-based firm noted that it and AUSA began collaborating through a partner equipment in 2020, with AUSA producing the JLG-branded SkyTrak 3013 compact telehandler.

“AUSA’s history of producing high-quality, purpose-built equipment aligns with our Innovate. Serve. Advance. strategy, allowing us to broaden our product offerings in both current and adjacent markets,” said John Pfeifer, Oshkosh Corporation President and CEO.

“We are excited to join forces with a proven partner like AUSA,” added Mahesh Narang, executive vice president Oshkosh Corporation, and president, Access. “Combining our advanced technology capabilities and robust training, support and service infrastructures will allow us to better serve customers and enable targeted growth.”

AUSA was founded in 1956 in Barcelona, Spain. It had 2023 sales of approximately $142 million USD. The company has nearly 350 employees and 600 dealers.
