Bearings and power transmission products distributor Purvis Industries acquired all assets of Johnson Bearing Supply, Inc, effective July 1.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Johnson Bearing & Supply is a distributor of power transmission products with over 30 years in operation. The Sparks, NV-based company serves customers across the U.S. and supplies components to industries such as manufacturing, electric motor repair, automotive, medical, technology and hobbyist sectors. The company’s product offerings include deep groove ball bearings, angular contact bearings, tapered roller bearings, miniature and stainless steel bearings, spherical bearings, rod ends, bushings, v-belts, shaft collars, o-rings and related products. Johnson Bearing is an authorized distributor for several manufacturers and offers product delivery and technical support.

Purvis said the acquisition strengthens its operations in the Western U.S. and enhances its ability to provide industrial solutions to a broader customer base.

“Their expertise, dedication to customer service, and strong industry presence complement our values and strategic goals,” Purvis Industries Executive VP & COO Jeremiah Johnson said in a July 1 news release. “Together, we will offer enhanced capabilities and value to our customers.”

The company’s most recent previous acquisitions were of Hayden, AL-based A&A Resources, announced on March 3 and Akron, OH-based PTE Drives in April 2024.
