On Aug. 1, White Cap Supply Holdings, LLC — a distributor of specialty construction supplies and safety products for professional contractors — announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire RENO Hardware and Supply, Inc., a distributor of construction supplies serving commercial, multi-family and residential contractors in Southern California.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

“We look forward to adding more talented associates to our team in Southern California, where White Cap got its start nearly five decades ago,” White Cap CEO John Stegeman said. “The RENO Hardware and Supply team’s expertise and wide selection of products will allow us to serve our customers with even more exceptional service in both the residential and non-residential markets.”

Once the deal is completed, RENO Hardware and Supply’s three locations in Riverside, Burbank, and Signal Hill, California will become part of the White Cap suite of brands in its Southwest region.

This is White Cap’s third acquisition of 2023. On July 5, the company announced it had acquired Form Tech Concrete Forms, Inc., a provider of concrete forming and shoring rental equipment and related consumable products serving contractors through seven locations across the Southeast, Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. One month earlier, White Cap announced that it had closed on its previously announced agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Tri-Boro Construction Supplies, a Pennsylvania-based concrete accessories and construction supply company.
