MRO and industrial supplies distributor Vallen Distribution appointed Jake Kalnitz to Executive Vice Price of Category Management.

In his new role, Kalnitz will oversee category management, including exclusive brands, supplier programs, North American pricing and enterprise marketing.

Vallen said Kalnitz brings over a decade of experience driving growth and efficiency across merchandising, supply chain and finance. He previously served as SVP, Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer at True Value, and held various roles at W.W. Grainger in finance, inventory and category management.

“Jake brings a wealth of experience to our team that will position us for accelerated growth in strategic areas of our business,” Vallen CEO Chuck Delph said in a May 1 news release. “I am excited to welcome him to my executive leadership team and look forward to the ways he will challenge our team.”

Prior to Vallen, Kalnitz spent the previous four years at True Value, most recently Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer, and further back spent over eight years at Grainger.
