Global pump and compressor manufacturer Ingersoll Rand appointed Matt Emmerich as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, effective July 17.
As CIO, Emmerich will lead the overall strategy and execution of the company’s global information technology organization across technology operations, infrastructure, applications and information security. His leadership is critical to accelerating the company’s digital transformation and innovation strategies, Ingersoll Rand officials said in a July 10 news release.
Emmerich has extensive experience in manufacturing, driving enterprise technology transformation and M&A integrations. In addition, he has leadership experience at scale in digital innovation, global market operations and cybersecurity, company officials said.
Prior to Ingersoll Rand, Matt served in various leadership positions at Polaris — including CIO and Vice President of Global Digital and Information Services, and Vice President of Service — during his more than a decade tenure.
On June 12, Ingersoll Rand acquired Howden Roots from Chart Industries for an all-cash purchase price of approximately $300 million. Roots is a provider of low-pressure compression and vacuum technologies.
