Lake Forest, Illinois-based industrial supplies distributor Grainger has signed on to lease over 525,000 square feet of warehouse space at the Carolina Logistics Park in Pineville, North Carolina.
The Charlotte Business Journal confirmed on June 12 Grainger will house a bulk warehouse facility, which Grainger said are designed to receive, stock and ship bulk items such as generators and water heaters.
The warehouse is expected to be operational in 2024, ConnectCre reported.
Grainger ranked No. 1 on MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors list in the industrial, MRO industrial and fasteners categories.
“This additional warehouse capacity will enhance service to customers in our Southeast market, allowing Grainger to continue delivering best-in-class, next-day complete orders across the United States,” a company spokesperson said in a statement to CBJ.
The nearly 300-acre industrial park being developed Beacon Partners includes several other tenants, including Amazon’s facility of over 1 million square feet.
