Fasteners and Class C components distributor Endries International has appointed Wally Tappe as Vice President of Sales.
Tappe will lead Endries’ sales organization, with responsibilities spanning sales performance, customer relationships, commercial execution and talent development, according to the company’s Aug. 3 announcement.
He brings more than 20 years of sales leadership experience across distribution and business-to-business channels. Tappe most recently worked in The Home Depot’s wholesale division, where he led the Texas market, expanded the company’s outside sales force and helped establish sales activity standards, quoting processes and market execution capabilities.
Before joining The Home Depot, Tappe served as Director of Sales at HD Supply, overseeing a multistate team. Endries said he played a central role in integrating the business following The Home Depot’s acquisition of HD Supply, including territory redesign, compensation restructuring and organizational alignment.
Earlier in his career, Tappe spent more than a decade with Fastenal and advanced to District Manager.
“Wally has spent his career growing distribution businesses and building the kind of teams that win,” Endries President and CEO Dan Crociata said. “As we continue to evolve our sales organization and expand our market reach, Wally is the right leader to help us get there.”
Tappe holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
The appointment follows Endries’ July acquisition of the business and assets of Blue Chip Engineered Products, an Erlanger, KY-based supplier of custom-engineered fasteners, metal stampings and electronic hardware. Blue Chip serves manufacturers in markets including automotive, medical devices and lighting.
Brillion, WI-based Endries operates 28 distribution centers across North America and Europe and manages more than 800,000 SKUs. The company ranked No. 10 on MDM’s 2026 Fasteners Top Distributors List and No. 40 for Industrial Supplies.
