Foodservice disposables and JanSan products distributor BradyIFS has acquired Southern Janitor Supply, the company announced May 1. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1959, Southern Janitor is a distributor of JanSan, foodservice and packaging products based in Melbourne, Florida. Southern Janitor will be BradyIFS’s first location in Florida, according to the BradyIFS website. BradyIFS, which has headquarters in Bell, California, and Las Vegas, operates over 40 locations, mostly in the south central and western U.S.

“Southern Janitor is the perfect addition to BradyIFS,” BradyIFS Chairman and CEO Kenneth Sweder said in a news release. “We are excited to continue to expand across Florida, and we look forward to working with Bill, Fred, Lori, Michael and the team at Southern Janitor.”

“Everyone at Southern Janitor is excited to join the BradyIFS team,” Southern Janitor President Bill Pitten Jr., son of founder Bill Pitten Sr., said in the release. “Their distinct value proposition and expansive relationships across the industry will be additive to our company and will enable higher levels of growth.”

Southern Janitor is the second acquisition of 2023 for BradyIFS, which acquired Elk Grove, Illinois-based foodservice and JanSan products distributor YPV Distribution in January. BradyIFS, listed among MDM’s Top JanSan Distributors in 2022, made six acquisitions last year.
