Paris-based Air Liquide reported sales for the third quarter of €5.1 billion (US$5.6 billion), up 23.9 percent on a reported basis and down 1.1 percent on a comparable basis compared to the prior year.
The first benefits of the Airgas acquisition were recorded this quarter, and the company expects those synergies to ramp-up in the fourth quarter.
Gas & services sales for the quarter were €4.8 billion (US$5.2 billion), up 29.9 percent year-over-year on a reported basis and up 2 percent on a comparable basis, while engineering & construction sales decreased 52 percent on a reported basis to €105 million (US$114.4 million).
For the first nine months, sales were €13.4 billion (US$14.6 billion), up 9.5 percent on a reported basis and up 0.8 percent on a comparable basis compared to the same period in 2015.
