Weyerhaeuser Co. (NYSE: WY), Federal Way, WA, reported sales for the second quarter of $2.1 billion, an increase of 19.4 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit was $196 million, compared to a year-ago profit of $84 million.
For the first six months, sales were $4.1 billion, an increase of 22.5 percent. Profit was $342 million, compared to a year-ago profit of $125 million.
