Airgas Inc. (NYSE: ARG), Radnor, PA, has acquired two core industrial gas and welding supply distributors. Combined annual revenues for the acquired businesses are more than $30 million. Terms were not disclosed.
Metroplex Service Welding Supply Inc.'s locations in Fort Worth, Decatur, Gainesville, Burleson and Mineral Wells, TX, are now part of Airgas' Southwest region. Excel Welding & Industrial Supplies Inc.'s Philadelphia, PA, location is now part of Airgas' East region.
Airgas is No. 5 on MDM's list of top industrial distributors. Since the beginning of its fiscal year, Airgas has acquired 15 businesses with aggregate annual revenues of more than $94 million.
