Motion Canada, Burnaby, BC, a division of Birmingham-based Motion Industries, Inc., a distributor of industrial maintenance, repair, and operation (MRO) replacement parts, has opened a new branch in Cranbrook, British Columbia.

Motion Canada operates 52 branches in nine Canadian provinces including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

With 2011 sales of $4.2 billion, Motion Industries is an industrial parts distributor of bearings, mechanical power transmission, electrical and industrial automation, hydraulic and industrial hose, hydraulic and pneumatic components, industrial products, and material handling. Motion Industries has over 500 operations including 10 distribution centers throughout North America.

Motion Industries is a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company (NYSE: GPC).
