Fort Wayne, IN-based Fluid power and power transmission distributor Transmission & Fluid Equipment acquired State Supply Company.

Based in Grand Rapids, MI, State Supply has provided mechanical and industrial power transmission products across West Michigan for over 80 years. The company distributes a range of components, including bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and electric motors. Its offerings span mechanical power transmission, unit and bulk material handling, electrical power transmission and mounted bearings, sourced from global manufacturers. State Supply also offers related specialty items such as lubricants, grease, shaft collars, shafting, thread lockers and anti-seize products.
TFE said the combined resources, product lines and service areas of both companies would create mutual advantages.

“There are many similarities between TFE and State Supply, and there are numerous reasons why our partnership makes so much sense,” TFE Owner Chris Hughes said in an early July news release.
