Beverage alcohol distributor Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) announced it has secured additional capital to help support its operations just a little over a month after naming Marc Sachs as its permanent President and CEO.

On Jan. 16, the Grand Prairie, TX-based company announced it finalized an agreement with its lenders to secure significant additional financing to help support its operations. RNDC officials said the distributor continues to align its organizational structure, operational capabilities and portfolio focus to ensure “executional excellence.”

“We are pleased to have the continued support from our lending partners as we deliver against our priorities and pursue opportunities that strengthen our business and our role in the industry,” Sachs said. “We are committed to ensuring our business remains a strong, profitable, and valuable partner to all we serve, including our suppliers and customers. We are grateful for the patience and cooperation of our suppliers, the trust our customers place in us every day, and the dedication of our associates who deliver in the marketplace.”

Marc Sachs Appointed as Permanent CEO

It’s official — on Dec. 9, 2025, RNDC’s Board of Directors appointed its interim President and CEO to a permanent post.

Sachs was the company’s former West Region President before the interim position. He succeeded Robert “Bob” Hendrickson, who died while in his post in October 2025. Hendrickson served in the interim post after Nick Mehal stepped down as CEO.

Marc Sachs

Sachs brings more than 30 years of leadership experience and “a deep understanding” of RNDC’s business. Over nearly two decades with the company, he advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Supplier Business Development, strengthening supplier partnerships, shaping growth strategies and driving commercial and operational excellence with an eye toward innovation.

His tenure spans sales, supplier development and strategic initiatives, and he currently serves on RNDC’s Board of Directors.

Before joining RNDC, Sachs began his career in advertising, leading national campaigns for major consumer brands before transitioning into the beverage alcohol industry in 2005 with Block Distributing.

As CEO, Sachs will focus on strengthening commercial and operational performance, supporting and empowering RNDC’s markets and people and guiding long-term strategic priorities across the company’s footprint — including a renewed emphasis on the customer experience, officials said.

“Following a comprehensive and thoughtful search process, we are thrilled to name Marc as CEO and President of RNDC,” said Richard Davis, Board Member, in a statement. “Marc is a trusted leader with deep knowledge of markets, our partners, and our people. We appreciate all of the work he has put in during his time as interim CEO. His decades of experience, strategic insight and strong connection to the RNDC family make him uniquely positioned to guide the company forward. Marc will continue the legacy of leadership that has defined RNDC for generations while driving innovation and growth to strengthen our position in an evolving market.”

Effective Jan. 1, RNDC also promoted Randy Hecklinski, formerly Southeast Region President, to Chief Sales and Execution Officer, to succeed Taylor Sommer, who retired.

Sommer joined the industry in 1997 with E. & J. Gallo Winery and began his RNDC career in 2000 as an On-Premise District Manager in Austin, Texas. Over his more than 25-year career with RNDC, he’s held various leadership roles across nearly every aspect of the sales organization.

Hecklinski joined the distributor in 2019.

“He has established himself as a respected leader, known for his disciplined approach, collaborative leadership style and focus on delivering results while supporting teams and partners,” Sachs said in a Dec. 23 news release. “We look forward to leveraging his experience and steady leadership which will help ensure continuity in the role as RNDC moves forward.”
