Wallboard products distributor Gypsum Management & Supply — acquired by The Home Depot’s SRS Distribution subsidiary in September for $5.5 billion — announced March 4 that it acquired Above Interior Distributors. Inc.
Above Interior is a distributor of specialty acoustical products, ceilings and related building materials with one location serving the Miami-Dade metro area and South Florida. It will operate under its existing branding as part of GMS Southeast to further support GMS’ presence throughout the area.
Above Interior Founder and President Jesus Valido will continue to lead the business.

“Bringing them into the GMS family of brands will further expand our distribution coverage of specialty acoustical and ceiling product offerings throughout South Florida while providing an even higher level of service to our customers,” said John Turner, Jr., President and CEO of GMS.
GMS’ previous most recent acquisition was of EIFS, Stucco, concrete block and masonry products distributor Brown Machinery in October 2025.
GMS has a network of more than 320 distribution centers alongside nearly 100 tool sales, rental and service centers.
