Custom corrugated and value-added packaging products distributor SupplyOne will strengthen its presence in New England with the acquisition of packaging solutions distributor Specialty Packaging.

The move adds “meaningful capabilities in packaging distribution, food packaging and equipment — two key strategic priorities for SupplyOne,” Newtown Square, PA-based SupplyOne President and CEO Todd Renehan said in a March 13 press release.

Founded in 2012, East Hartford, CT-based Specialty Packaging is a full-service packaging provider with offerings in food packaging including films, trays, bags and corrugated containers. It also provides warehousing and logistics to its customers.

“SupplyOne’s scale, operational strength, and commitment to service excellence will allow us to enhance our breadth of offerings to customers while maintaining the culture and responsiveness that have defined Specialty Packaging since its founding,” said Chris Orsini, Managing Partner of Specialty Packaging.

Founders Orsini and Keith Streib, will continue to lead the business post-closing.

“Becoming part of SupplyOne opens the door to new capabilities, broader product access, and long-term growth opportunities for our customers and employees,” Specialty Packaging Managing Partner Streib said.

This transaction represents SupplyOne’s 47^th acquisition, further expanding the company’s geographic footprint and portfolio of value-added packaging solutions across North America.

SupplyOne’s previously most recent acquisition was Chicago-based corrugated packaging distributor Wertheimer Box, completed in January.
