AD Rebrands Industrial & Safety – U.S. Unit as Industrial, Safety and Construction

The name change to ISC recognizes the evolution of AD's Industrial & Safety division and synergies between the group's existing industrial, safety and construction-focused members and suppliers.

Contractor supplies buying group AD announced April 6 that its Industrial & Safety – U.S. Division will operate under a new name: the Industrial, Safety, and Construction (ISC) Division.

Wayne, PA-based AD said the name change recognizes the evolution of the Industrial & Safety Division and the synergies between AD’s existing industrial, safety and construction-focused members and suppliers that supply many similar product categories to varying end-user markets.

AD’s Annual Member Sales Hit Record $100B in 2025 (Feb. 2)

With AD recently leaning more into construction, the change allows members in those verticals to leverage the group’s combined scale to access differentiated programs and value-added services.

“Founded in 1994, AD’s Industrial & Safety Division has continuously evolved by adding adjacent markets aligned with our members’ growth strategies,” said Jessica Yurgaitis, CEO of Industrial Supply Company and Chair of the ISC Division Board. “Over the years, we have been fortunate to attract strong independent distributors and suppliers successfully growing in the construction channel. The ISC name reflects who we are today and where we are going.”

The ISC unit is led by President Mike Carr.

In December, AD announced the addition of construction supplies distributors ACME Construction Supply Co. (Lake Oswego, OR), Professional Contractor Supply (Las Vegas) and C.F.C. Supply (West Haven, UT).

“The ISC Divisional Board has demonstrated exceptional leadership in thoughtfully guiding this evolution — balancing the addition of construction-focused members while remaining firmly anchored in our industrial and safety roots,” added Marisol Fernandez, President of AD’s Electrical and Industrial unit. “This name change is a testament to the Board’s multi-year diversification strategy and acknowledges a successful track-record of serving a broad range of Independents in the markets we serve.”
