The acquisition of will expand the building materials distributor’s base of residential and commercial customers throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho, and increase the company’s exterior cladding offerings and market coverage by adding EIFS and stucco products, GMS President and CEO John C. Turner, Jr. said in a news release.

Evergreen and its team will continue operating under the current company name and branding, while founder and owner Chris Burrows will continue managing the business, operating in close collaboration with GMS’s Northwest Division leadership.
“For nearly 30 years, our success has been built on the dedication of our employees and the loyalty of our customers. Joining with GMS, our people, our culture, and our commitment to service will continue to thrive,” Burrows said. “This transaction allows us to preserve what makes our company special while gaining the resources and support to grow even stronger.”
GMS became part of The Home Depot’s specialty trade distribution platform in September 2025, when Home Depot and its SRS Distribution subsidiary completed their acquisition of GMS for a total enterprise value of about $5.5 billion.
