West Chester, OH-based fastener and industrial supplies distributor AFC Industries has acquired Signature Engineered Solutions (SES) — an Aurora, IL-based provider of highly engineered fasteners, components and application solutions.

AFC announced the deal Aug. 31. Financial terms were not disclosed. On MDM’s 2026 Top Distributors Lists, AFC was No. 7 for Fasteners and No. 28 for Industrial Supplies.

SES works with OEM customers on fastening and assembly applications, with products spanning specialty threaded components, metal and plastic fasteners, clips, clamps, springs, rivets and precision-machined components. Its end markets include automotive, heavy truck, heavy equipment, construction, energy, electrification, HVAC and power generation.

The company also provides third-party logistics services for industrial manufacturers and distributors, including warehousing and inventory management, order fulfillment, supplier consolidation, kitting, labeling, light assembly, inspection and custom packaging.

AFC said the acquisition expands its engineered component capabilities while adding SES’ technical expertise and relationships with engineered fastener manufacturers.

“SES is a great example of the type of business we want to add to AFC,” AFC CEO Kevin Godin said in the company’s Aug. 31 announcement. “They have strong customer relationships, deep application expertise and a team that understands how to create value well beyond supplying a part.”

SES manages customers’ fastener requirements from application and product selection through production, with an emphasis on engineering support, quality, delivery and cost improvement. The company said joining AFC will give its customers access to greater resources and a broader range of capabilities.

AFC provides vendor-managed inventory, custom-engineered components and other supply chain and value-added services to manufacturers and assemblers. The company operates more than 100 locations across seven countries.

The SES deal follows AFC’s March 2026 acquisition of Allied Inventory Systems — a McKinney, TX-based provider of inventory management and supply chain solutions. Allied joined AFC’s Aerospace & Defense business unit, adding production-floor inventory and supply chain capabilities for aerospace, defense and other mission-critical manufacturers. AFC had launched its Aerospace and Tooling business units in fall 2025.

Allied continues to operate from its McKinney location. AFC is owned by Bertram Capital, which acquired the distributor in 2021.
