Lancaster, PA-based HVAC and plumbing supplies distributor APR Supply Co. has completed its acquisition of Mutual Wholesalers’ Wheeling, WV operation, marking APR’s entry into West Virginia.
APR announced the completed transaction July 30, about six weeks after the fourth-generation, family-owned distributor said it had entered due diligence for the acquisition.
APR said in June that it planned to continue operating the business from its existing Wheeling location while building on Mutual’s current product lines and adding APR’s HVAC, hydronics and PVF offerings. The transaction covers only Mutual’s Wheeling operation; its Huntington, WV, location was excluded from the deal and remains under Mutual President Len Rogers’ ownership.
“We are thrilled to officially add our first West Virginia location to the APR family,” APR Supply CEO Scott Weaver said in announcing the completed deal. He added that the acquisition gives APR an opportunity to bring more of its products, services and resources to customers in the state.
The acquisition expands APR’s branch network beyond Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. Headquartered in Lancaster, APR is a 104-year-old, full-service distributor of plumbing, HVAC and hydronic supplies.
It is APR’s second acquisition completed in 2026. In late January, the company closed its purchase of McArdle & Walsh Inc. — a single-location distributor of plumbing, heating and industrial products in Lutherville, MD, that has served the Greater Baltimore market since 1922. That deal gave APR its first Maryland location and expanded its network to 43 locations across four states at the time.
