Technology products distributor TD SYNNEX announced Oct. 7 that it has agreed to acquire BlueStar, a specialty technology distributor. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
TD SYNNEX said the combination would broaden technology offerings and resources available to customers and vendors while retaining BlueStar’s specialized capabilities.
“Our customers and vendor partners rely on BlueStar because of our specialization, industry expertise and personalized support,” BlueStar CEO Ryan Girvin said. He added that joining TD SYNNEX would provide additional resources while maintaining those strengths.
The companies will continue operating independently until the transaction closes.
Headquartered in Clearwater, FL and Fremont, CA, TD SYNNEX serves more than 150,000 customers across over 100 countries. Its distribution business supplies IT hardware, software and systems, while its Hyve Solutions business designs and manufactures computing and cloud infrastructure.
The acquisition announcement follows TD SYNNEX’s Sept. 24 report of record fiscal 2026 third-quarter results. For the quarter ended Aug. 31, revenue increased 37.7% year-over-year to $21.6 billion. Non-GAAP gross billings — a measure of customer billings before certain revenue presentation adjustments — rose 40.0% to $31.8 billion.
Operating income increased 67.6% to $643 million, with operating margin expanding to 2.98% from 2.45% a year earlier. Net income rose 83.5% to $416 million.
TD SYNNEX forecast fiscal fourth-quarter revenue of $21.8 billion-$22.6 billion.
