On Aug. 11, Raleigh, North Carolina-based electrical distributor Electrical Equipment Company (EECO) acquired Lynchburg, Virginia-based Foster Electric. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Foster Electric, an independent electrical supply distributor that has served Central Virginia for nearly 70 years, will join EECO, which was founded in 1926 and serves industrial and automation-focused customers. The company will continue to operate under the Foster Electric name with its existing team of 25 associates.
“Joining EECO gives us access to greater resources while allowing us to keep operating the way our customers have come to expect,” Foster Electric President Duane White said in a news release.
EECO President and CEO Mark Holmes added: “As we celebrate 100 years of serving our customers, welcoming Foster Electrics team and supporting their continued success as an independently operated part of our company is exactly the kind of growth we want to build on.”
