Professional kitchen equipment distributor Eurodib acquired Distex Group to enhance its position in the Canadian market.

Founded in 1993, Distex Group specializes in the import and distribution of commercial refrigeration, cooking solutions and stainless steel kitchen equipment throughout Canada.

The acquisition will enable Eurodib to better serve the Canadian market coast-to-coast and strengthen its position as a leader in professional kitchen equipment, company officials said in a Oct. 8 news release.

“We are proud to expand our business with the addition of new key product categories,” says Ian Routhier, President of Eurodib. “Distex Group has earned a reputation for excellence in refrigeration and stainless-steel kitchen equipment, and our goal is to pursue our Canadian expansion.”

He adds: “We are happy to integrate the Distex Group brands (New Air, Thorinox and Brika) to our portfolio and increase our logistical capacity with new West Coast warehousing.”
