AD’s Independent Electrical Unit Appoints Supplier Relations Leader

AD appointed a seasoned industry leader as SVP of Supply Relations for its IESD, bringing channel expertise to strengthen supplier and member growth.

Contractor and industrial supplies buying group AD appointed West Ballard to Senior Vice President of Supply Relations for its Independent Electrical Supply Division, effective June 16.

In this role, Ballard will oversee supplier strategy for the Independent Electrical Supply Division, including creating programs aimed at helping members drive growth with supplier partners.

With over 25 years of leadership experience in the electrical, electronic and utility markets, Ballard has a background working with AD and independent distributors. Most recently, he was VP of Strategic Accounts at Hubbell, where he managed the company’s relationship with AD and strengthened collaboration across the Hubbell organization.

Ballard has held leadership roles at Hubbell, Eaton, nVent/Hoffman and Panduit. Over his career, he has led high-performing teams, introduced innovative channel strategies and enhanced relationships with distributors.

“West joins AD at a great time. His deep channel experience, leadership and strong relationships within the Electrical channel will help drive new opportunities and enhance the value we deliver to both our members and supplier partners,” AD Independent Electrical Supply Division President Karen Baker said in a June 17 news release.
