Founded in 1969, CIA supplies equipment and drivetrain components to the construction, railway maintenance and oil exploration industries worldwide. Based in Lancaster, TX, CIA Machinery supports customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Peru, the U.K., France and other international markets. The company sells, services and repairs equipment from manufacturers such as Funk, ITL/JCB, John Deere, Terex (formerly Texoma/Reedrill) and Ramsey. Frequently ordered products include machine axles, powershift transmissions, hydrostatic transmissions and pump drives.
With the sale now completed, CIA is permanently closing its business.
Meanwhile, Palmer Johnson Power Systems, a division of Palmer Johnson Enterprises, provides service and support for heavy-duty, off-highway drivetrain components, with a focus on transmissions and axles. Based in Madison, WI, the company operates nine sales and service branches across North America and employs over 115 staff. Palmer Johnson is an authorized distributor and service center for manufacturers such as Twin Disc, ZF Off-Highway, Dana Spicer, Carraro, Funk and others.
“We’re committed to delivering the same consistent, dedicated support that CIA’s longtime Funk drivetrain customers have come to rely on,” Palmer Johnson COO & President Craig Swenson said in a July 14 news release. “We’re also excited to introduce them to the full range of Palmer Johnson products and services.”
