Industrial water and wastewater products distributor United Flow Technologies announced May 28 that it has acquired Peak Group Companies — a Belgrade, MT-based water and wastewater treatment organization.
UFT said the acquisition expands its presence across the Northern Rockies and Northern Plains, while adding wastewater treatment, pump and process equipment capabilities in key growth markets. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“Peak Group is a strong strategic fit that enhances our platform with meaningful wastewater scale and technical depth,” UFT CEO Matt Hart said in a news release. “This addition positions UFT to accelerate growth in the Mountain West, leveraging operational expertise across wastewater construction, maintenance and service capabilities.”
Peak Group President Matt Huggins said joining UFT gives the company expanded resources and technical collaboration to serve customers across the region.
“Peak Group has consistently focused on delivering reliable, forward-thinking water and wastewater solutions across the Northern Rockies and Northern Plains,” Huggins said. “Joining UFT allows us to build on that foundation with expanded resources, deeper technical collaboration and a shared commitment to solving hard problems and delivering exceptional value to a growing range of customers across the region.”
Irving, TX-based UFT is a technical distributor and solutions provider serving municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment markets. The company provides process equipment, pumps, flow control and automation and control systems.
The acquisition follows UFT’s December 2025 announcement that it secured a strategic growth investment from Berkshire Partners. At the time, UFT said its leadership team, including Hart, would continue to lead the business and remain significant investors. H.I.G. Capital, which invested in the UFT platform in 2021, maintained a minority investment.
